Copy-Trading Disclosure

Last updated: September 19, 2026

Read this before you enable copying for any strategy. This page describes copy-trading specifically. It supplements, and does not replace, our Risk Disclosure and Terms of Service §8 and §10.

1. What happens when you enable copying

A strategy Leader (also called a “captain”) publishes trading signals. When you enable copying for that strategy on an account you connect, Ironmark’s software translates the Leader’s signals into real orders — placed, modified, or cancelled automatically — on your account, according to the size, instrument mapping, and risk settings you configure. This can happen quickly and without asking for your approval on each individual order. Copying is off until you turn it on, and you can turn it off at any time, but turning it off does not automatically cancel orders already sent or close positions already open — you must confirm the state of your account directly with your broker.

2. The Leader’s decisions, not yours, drive entry and exit

The Leader decides what to trade and when. Your configuration decides how much and on which account, but Ironmark exercises no discretion of its own and does not evaluate whether a given Leader or strategy is suitable for you. A Leader may change their approach, risk level, instruments, or frequency at any time, without notice to followers, and may stop trading altogether. Following a Leader with a strong past record is not a prediction that the same record continues, and copying does not reduce risk — it delegates a decision that remains, financially, yours.

3. Leaders may be paid, and that is a conflict of interest

Leaders may be compensated by their followers off-platform (for example through a third-party membership tool) for access to a strategy. Ironmark tracks membership state for access purposes — it does not process, set, or guarantee these follower-to-Leader payments, and is not a party to any agreement between a Leader and a follower. Separately, Ironmark may pay an approved Leader a referral share of a referred member’s recurring Ironmark membership through Stripe Connect; that referral payment is independent of, and not a substitute for, any payment a follower makes for access to a Leader’s strategy. A Leader who is paid based on follower count or engagement may have an incentive to take on more risk, trade more frequently, or promote favorable periods more than unfavorable ones, in ways that do not match your own goals. Treat every Leader’s track record as unverified for suitability purposes, and do your own review before following.

4. Fan-out: you are not the only account copying the same signal

A popular strategy’s signal can reach many followers’ accounts at once. Depending on your position in that fan-out, market conditions, and your broker’s own execution, your fill price, timing, and even whether an order fills at all can differ meaningfully from the Leader’s and from other followers’. Ironmark does not guarantee any particular fill, sequencing, or parity between accounts copying the same signal.

5. Prop-firm and evaluation accounts

If the account you copy into is a prop-firm evaluation or funded account, that firm’s own rules on automation, copy trading, drawdown, position size, and consistency apply and are not something Ironmark enforces on your behalf today. A copied trade that breaches your firm’s rules can cost you the evaluation, the funded status, or a payout, even though the order was placed automatically. Confirm your firm’s current rules before enabling copying on that account.

6. Your responsibility

You remain solely responsible for:

Ironmark is not responsible for a Leader’s trading decisions, a Leader stopping or changing strategy, or losses that result from following a published signal in good faith through the Service.
